Integrated Content Ports (PURL & GURL)
Integrated Content Ports or PURL, are personalized web pages that feature a specific customer’s name in the URL. These mass-customized personal websites can be used temporarily for a single promotion, or as part of a long-term relationship. The content is presented to each customer as if it was specifically designed for them based on conditions defined in a database. People perceive that the sender has made a substantial effort to share this information with them, and consider this a high-value communication. Customers typically refer back to their portal repeatedly and don’t want the portal to go away. A GURL is a generalized URL that is typically used in prospecting, and campaigns where specific personalized information is not yet known.

PURLs and GURLs are a good way to collect additional information and key data from your customers or prospects to be used in future marketing programs.
-
GURLs are trackable to provide feedback to the success of the campaign, and also trigger further marketing communication efforts.
-
Best results are usually seen when an incentive is given to your customer for providing, and volunteering additional valuable information.
